ESAU & HUEBER NOW PART
OF SCHULZ FAMILY OF COMPANIES
Effective October 1, Schulz Unternehmensfamilie, parent organization of
Kaspar Schulz Brauereimaschinenfabrik & Apparatebauanstalt based in
Bamberg, Germany, took over Esau & Hueber, based in Schrobenhausen,
Germany.
“With this takeover, we want to expand our existing
expertise in order to be able to offer our
customers integrated system solutions for the
processing of raw materials into beer, malt and
whiskey,” says Johannes Schulz-Hess, owner
of the Schulz Family of Companies, explaining
the reasoning behind the acquisition, adding,
“This opens up completely new opportunities
for us and the industry.”

to ensure the future of our company. The location in Schrobenhausen
will remain, the jobs of our 47 employees are secure, and our product
portfolio, especially in the brewery and pharmacy area, is complemented
ideally,” states Christoph Sedlaczek, General Manager at Esau & Hueber,
whose main expertise includes services and turn-key plants for the
brewing and beverage industry across the world. The activities in the
field of process automation and the successful pharmaceutical segment
of the long-established Schrobenhausen-based company are to be further
developed in the future and the know-how in the yeast and aeration
sector as well as in plant engineering for the cold area of breweries at
Kaspar Schulz will be further expanded.
With the acquisition of Esau & Hueber, the group of companies, which
includes not only Kaspar Schulz but also Hinke Tankbau in Vöcklamarkt,
Austria, and Künzel Maschinenbau in Mainleus, Germany, grows to 375
employees and an annual revenue of approx. 60 million euros.

SCHÄFER WERKE GROUP
EXTENDS TOP MANAGEMENT
Effective October 1, 2020, the Schäfer Werke Group implemented
changes in its senior management. In addition to managing partner and
company founder Theo Schäfer, the group will in the future be managed
by Marcus Düber, Michael Mockenhaupt and Guido Klinkhammer. With
this new management team, the Schäfer Werke Group, consisting of the
EMW Steel Service Centre, Schäfer Perforated Metal, Schäfer IT-Systems,
Schäfer Container Systems and Vizuu, as well as the central administration
departments, is breaking with its past approach and placing
the fortunes of the group into the hands of four experienced executives,
each with different strengths and fields of responsibility.
On October 1, 2020, Marcus Düber took on responsibility for the Schäfer
Werke Group’s administrative operations as commercial manager. The
graduate in business economics has been working for the group since
September 2016 as commercial director at the Czech subsidiary Schäfer
Sudex and has headed the finance and controlling areas since
October 2018. Michael Mockenhaupt has been successfully running the
operations of the EMW Steel Service Centre since November 2013. As
managing director, the business graduate now also takes on responsibility
for Schäfer Perforated Metal, which puts him in charge of Schäfer
Werke’s traditional steel divisions.
October 1, 2020, saw Guido Klinkhammer move from the management
of beverage fittings manufacturer D.S.I. Getränkearmaturen back to
Schäfer Werke. He is now responsible for Schäfer Werke, Schäfer Container
Systems, Schäfer IT Systems, Vizuu, and the foreign subsidiaries
Schäfer Sudex and Schäfer Container Systems North America. The university
qualified manager sees a major focus of his role in continuing the
expansion of the group’s digitalization projects and in strategic innovation
and product management. In a further change, Rainer Bröcher left
Schäfer Werke Group on September 30 after 8 successful years in the
role of managing director.
